What is a “Showcase”?

Each Showcase celebrates the achievements of all of our students. Each student is on a different stage of their journey as young artists. Some are just finding their voice, others are learning how to be comfortable being the centre of attention, and some are singing a solo for the very first time. It takes an incredible amount of courage to step out of one’s comfort zone. We applaud each and every young artist for their passion and commitment to growing as theatre artists.

Showcase presentations are not intended to be fully realized productions; instead they offer a back-stage pass into all the fun that happens in the studio each week. Our students have been working hard this term and are excited to share their learning with you!

Who Can I Bring?

Due to limited capacity within our studios, each student may bring a maximum of 4 guests. You do not need to reserve seats in advance. When you arrive, simply give the name of the student you are there to support, and our staff will sign you in.

Can I take Photos/Videos?

Families are welcome to take photos and/or film their child’s showcase presentation. Since we work with young folks, we kindly ask that you do not post these photos or videos to social media. Please note that Kaleidoscope will not be recording or live-streaming the showcases.

Where Do Showcases Take Place?

All showcases take place at the Kaleidoscope Arts Centre, in the same studio students take their weekly class in. Please note that most showcase presentations will take place in Studio A, which is located on the top floor of the Kaleidoscope Arts Centre. This studio is accessed by 22 stairs or a seated chair lift. Should you have specific access and mobility requests, please contact our office at 250-383-8124.

We look forward to welcoming you into the Kaleidoscope Arts Centre to celebrate the achievements of all of our students!
