This tour is designed for teenagers with an interest in theatre, performance, and travel. No prior travel experience is required—just curiosity, and a willingness to explore! Parents are also welcome to join us on the tour!

This tour is designed for teenagers, and we generally welcome travellers who are 13 years of age or older.

In some cases, exceptions may be considered for younger participants—particularly those who are turning 13 shortly before or after the tour, or those travelling with a parent or guardian.

If you are considering registering a younger traveller, we encourage you to connect with our Group Leader to discuss whether the tour would be a good fit. We’re happy to work with families to ensure the experience is appropriate, safe, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Absolutely! We love having parents join us, and many have travelled with us over the years—each bringing their own sense of adventure to the experience. Parents who join the tour are part of the group, sharing in all scheduled activities, experiences, and memorable moments alongside the students.

Parents are accommodated in double hotel rooms, typically shared with another adult on the tour. Couples travelling together will have a room to themselves.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore London together while being fully immersed in the experience as part of the Kaleidoscope group.

Yes! This will be our 8th tour to London and our 6th tour with Explorica—and our Group Leader has been on every one of them.

This is more than a sightseeing trip—it’s a fully immersive theatre and cultural experience. Students will train with industry professionals, attend world-class performances, and explore London through a creative lens.

Students will:

  • See live productions in London’s West End
  • See a live production at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
  • Participate in acting and musical theatre workshops, including at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
  • Explore iconic sites like the Tower of London, the British Museum, and more!
  • Take guided tours and city walks through London’s most historic neighbourhoods
  • Experience local culture, food, and daily life in one of the world’s great cities

Each day is a mix of structured activities and exploration—such as guided sightseeing, workshops, cultural visits, and evening theatre performances. For example, the itinerary includes city walks, landmark tours, and performances throughout the week. Days are long and packed to make the most of our time in London.

The tour is an 8-day immersive experience in London, including travel days.

The program includes:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Hotel Accommodation (students are in shared rooms with private bathrooms)
  • Daily breakfast and dinner
  • All scheduled activities and entrance fees as per the itinerary
  • Theatre tickets and workshops
  • Full-time professional Tour Director
  • 24-hour emergency support

Not included:

  • Lunches and snacks
  • Souvenirs and personal spending
  • Optional excursions or free-time activities not on the itinerary.

While on tour, Students are supervised by Kaleidoscope staff and supported by a full-time Explorica Tour Director. There is a 6-to-1 student to Kaleidoscope Chaperone ratio. Parents are also welcome to come on tour, but are not expected to act as chaperones.

Kaleidoscope also has robust safety plans in place, clear group expectations, and staff well experienced with group travel!

Yes—students will have some structured free time in small groups, with clear boundaries and supervision, allowing them to explore shops, cafés, and neighbourhoods.

Once registered, families will receive:

  • Regular updates and communication from Kaleidoscope’s Group Leader. These will be monthly at first, and pick-up frequency as departure gets closed.
  • Travel and documentation details
  • Rooming information (closer to departure)
  • An in-person pre-departure meeting about a month before departure to prepare for the trip

All Kaleidoscope travellers are enrolled in Explorica’s Travel Protection Plan Plus, which is mandatory for participation in the tour. This comprehensive plan is designed to protect your travel investment and provide peace of mind in the event that plans change.

The Travel Protection Plan Plus, provided through TuGo, offers coverage for a wide range of circumstances, including trip cancellation or interruption due to illness, injury, family emergencies, travel delays, lost luggage, and more. It also includes coverage related to Government of Canada travel advisories and school or organizational cancellations.

A key feature of this plan is Explorica’s Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) Benefit. This allows travellers to cancel their trip for reasons not otherwise covered by insurance and receive reimbursement for 75% of non-refundable costs, provided the cancellation is made more than 2 days prior to departure.

Additional benefits include:

  • Coverage for Kaleidoscope-led cancellations (up to a full refund, less the cost of the insurance policy)
  • On-tour medical and emergency support, including hospital care and transportation if required
  • Coverage for baggage delays, loss, or damage
  • Support for travel delays, including meals and accommodations if needed

The Travel Protection Plan Plus is approximately $28 per day.

This coverage ensures that all travellers are supported before and during the trip, allowing families to book with confidence and focus on the experience ahead.
