Support Kaleidoscope

By making a charitable donation to Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, you are part of an amazing community of donors made up of passionate theatre-goers, and community-minded individuals who are committed to inspiring future generations of theatre lovers.

Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People works hard to make live performance affordable and accessible to everyone. Our regular ticket prices are low, while we engage professional artists, designers, and technicians, and pay professional fees.

Our commitment to the dual cause of affordability and paying artists for their work doesn’t come easy – the price you pay to see a Kaleidoscope production may only cover one-third of the actual cost of presenting the show to you.

It takes a village to create and present the relevant works that Kaleidoscope develops on a yearly basis – we simply cannot do it alone. The more you give, the more you demonstrate your dedication to presenting excellent theatre to audiences young and young at heart from communities near and far. As a member of the family, you become a pillar of our company.

Be a Part of Growing Generations of Theatre Lovers

Through our productions and theatre training, we strive to bring together communities, creative innovative theatre experiences, ensure a healthy professional theatre community in Victoria and inspire young people with the work they see on our stages.

Since 1974 Kaleidoscope has delighted the imaginations of over 3 million young people around the world and in our home of Victoria, BC.

There are more than one million Canadians alive today who have chosen to leave bequests to their favourite causes and charities. Gifts of all size make a meaningful impact in the work that we do. After ensuring the well-being of your family, friends and loved ones, consider making a bequest. If you’re a long-time Kaleidoscope supporter – and perhaps a donor as well – we invite you to consider leaving a gift in your will to Kaleidoscope Theatre Productions Society!

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an integral part of our organization and play a vital role in helping us to make theatre accessible for young audiences. We offer opportunities in all areas of our organization – from working in the office, serving on our Board of Directors, to assisting with productions and, of course, welcoming patrons during the season. Being a volunteer is great for all ages 14+, and an excellent opportunity for high school students and young adults to gain working experience (letters of reference with total hours volunteered may be requested).

To learn more about our upcoming volunteer opportunities, please contact Kelsey Cain, Production and Administrative Coordinator.

For almost 50 years, Victoria’s Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People has delighted the imaginations of over 3 million young people around the world – often providing children with their first live theatre experience. With continued cutbacks to the arts, Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, a registered charitable society, relies on fundraising events and the generous support from many individuals, businesses, and donors to keep our mission alive for new generations. This is where you come in.

Young people are our passion, and your support will assist us in removing barriers and creating opportunities that ensure our city’s young people have access to affordable theatre experiences and quality theatre training.

As a not-for-profit charity, ticket sales, performing arts studio registrations, and studio rentals provide only 50% of the revenue needed to meet our programming and production expenses. The generosity and continued support of our donor family plays a vital role in sustaining our programs each year.

Live theatre encourages young people to develop critical and creative thinking. It fosters imagination, and a love for the arts – something that will stick with a child for a very long time.

The generous support from individuals who understand the importance of arts organizations to our cities vitality is what enables us to continue to provide high quality professional theatrical experiences for young people on Vancouver Island.

We invite you to join our family of supporters. Every donation, large or small, makes a world of difference in our ability to inspire young people in our community.

Thank you for helping us ignite imaginations and growing new generations of theatre lovers on Vancouver Island.
