About our Teen Musical Theatre Program: Building upon the framework set in our Junior and Intermediate musical theatre programs, the Teen Musical Theatre class challenges students to tie all of their skills in acting, singing and dancing together. This class explores dynamic characters in ensemble numbers, small group numbers, and solo work. Students will learn about characterization, vocal styles, and audition techniques. Repertoire for this class is chosen from a variety of musical theatre styles to help students expand their repertoire and gain new skills.

About our Teen Acting Program: The Teen Acting Program provides students the opportunity to explore different styles of acting and a variety of more challenging texts, from classical to contemporary plays. Actors will continue to develop and refine their acting technique with a focus on physicalization, voice work, and character development. In addition to engaging theatre games, improvisation and more advanced acting exercises, this class will also explore audition technique. Students will apply their acting skills to an assortment of small group scenes, ensemble work, and monologues.

About our Intermediate Musical Theatre Program: In this intermediate class students will explore a variety of musical theatre pieces as an ensemble, in small groups, as well as individually with an introduction to solo work. Intermediate students will continue to develop their skills with a variety of exciting and challenging musical theatre repertoire. This class focuses on combining acting, singing, and dancing disciplines as well introducing a character’s motivation to move from speaking to singing.

This class introduces students to text work and more challenging choreography to encourage young artists to refine their performance skills.The repertoire is selected from Broadway musicals to challenge the students and showcase their skills.
