The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe

Kaleidoscope Theatre welcomes you to the magical world of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, based on the classic children’s novel by C.S. Lewis, adapted for the stage by Le Clanché du Rand and directed by Kaleidoscope Theatre’s Executive & Artistic Director Pat Rundell. This bigger than-life adventure runs from December 14 – Dec. 23 at the Roxy Theatre, launching the company’s dynamic 50th Anniversary season.

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe follows the adventures of Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy as they step through the wardrobe into Narnia, a land held in the grip of the White Witch’s icy rule. With the help of the majestic lion, Aslan, the siblings embark on a heroic journey to free Narnia from the clutches of evil and restore peace to the enchanted realm. Kaleidoscope’s The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe is an  inventive and highly theatrical adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ classic that’s sure to delight children and adults alike.

“In bringing the story of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe to the stage, our goal was to evoke the magic of Narnia that resonates universally with both children and adults,” said Pat Rundell. “Curiosity and the thrill of adventure are timeless themes that bind us all, interwoven with the threads of love and hope. I’m excited for audiences to step beyond the wardrobe with us and witness the culmination of our creative efforts—a truly special production that promises to enchant, inspire, and leave a lasting impact on hearts of all ages.”

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe features set, props, and costumes by Emily Friesen, lighting by Rebekah Johnson, sound design by Aidan Dunsmuir, original music composition by Alexander Brendan Ferguson, production management by George Scott, stage management by Kelsey Cain, and features the onstage talents of Shea O’Connor as Lucy, and Dawson Rutledge as Peter.
