Join Peter and Lucy for a magical advenure, as they take you on a journey into the magical land of Narnia. An inventive and highly theatrical adaptation of C.S. Dawson Is thrilled to be a part of Kaleidoscope Theatre’s 50th season with The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Originally from Prince George British Columbia, Dawson Studied acting at the University of Victorias Phoenix Theatre. Previously he was Jacob in Blue Bridge Reps Saltwater Moon alongside Shea O’Connor. More recently Dawson performed in the 2023 Fringe Festival as “The Dog” in Bluejaye Productions’ BAD DOG, which went on to win Favourite Comedy and Favourite Ensemble. His Film and TV credits Include the CW’s Riverdale and Hallmarks Flip that Romance. Dawson feels incredibly honoured to once again share the stage with Shea and to bring this beautiful story to life.
Pat is thrilled to be directing The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe for Kaleidoscope, after making his Kaleidoscope stage debut in the company’s 2003 production. Pat’s Kaleidoscope credits include playing Bilbo in The Hobbit (2010) and director for The Addams Family, Singin’ in the Rain, and numerous productions for the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio including all 7 of the Teen Musical Intensive productions (Mary Poppins Jr, The Addams Family Jr., Once Upon A Mattress, Side Show, Zombie Prom, 100 Years of Broadway, and Anything Goes!).
Locally, Pat’s directing credits include 9to5 and A Christmas Story (VOS), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Langham Court), Dog Sees God (Black Box), Marie Antoinette: the Color of Flesh, Nevermore, Into the Woods, Peter Pan, and Treasure Island (Urban Arts).
Pat is the Executive & Artistic Director for Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People. He is the co-chair for the Theatre for Young Audiences Caucus to the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, serves on the association’s Advocacy Committee.
Rebekah is pleased to be designing The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe for Kaleidoscope for the second time! Other Kaleidoscope shows include last season’s Oz and, long ago productions of A Midsummer’s Night Dream and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever among others. Other recent credits include Snow White for Carousel Theatre, A Doll’s House Part 2 for Western Gold Theatre and The Fiancee for Chemainus Theatre. Rebekah lives in the beautiful Cowichan Valley, traditional territory of the Coast Salish and home to the Cowichan Tribes.
Kelsey is thrilled to return to Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People as Stage Manager for one of her favourite stories The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Alexander is a local musician, singer, composer, musical director, sound designer, and teacher. George Scott is a production professional in his third decade of practice. He has a recurring role as Production Manager for Kaleidoscope Theatre, with whom he has been working since 2005. He hopes you enjoy the wonders inside this Wardrobe.
In addition to his work with Kaleidoscope, George supports over 60 cultural events annually in Greater Victoria, from a concert series for Oak Bay to National Indigenous Peoples Day for Royal Roads. He also engages in event safety consultation and planning for indoor and outdoor events.
This timeless classic by C.S. Lewis holds a special place in my heart, and I believe it embodies the essence of imagination, adventure, and the power of storytelling.
