Snow is in the forecast, and as a precaution, we want to take this opportunity to remind families of our Winter Weather policies. In the case of severe winter weather conditions, classes at Kaleidoscope's Performing Arts Studio may be cancelled.
In General If schools within the Victoria School District (SD#61) are closed due to weather, Kaleidoscope classes will also be cancelled and made up at a later time.
In the event that Greater Victoria School ARE open in the morning, decisions on after school classes and evening classes will be made by 2pm and regular notification procedures will apply. In these event, Kaleidoscope takes direction from local authorities, larger education institutions (Uvic, Camosun), and orgnisations within the downtown area.
For days (including weekends, and pro-d day camps) when public schools are not in session, decisions will be made by 7:30am and notifications will be made to all affected families.
Personal Choice Parents/Guardians may at their own discretion choose to keep their children at home during inclement weather conditions. Parents/Guardians choosing to exercise this option should inform Kaleidoscope on that day, as per regular absence procedures. Policies for missed lessons for Private Voice Lessons are still in effect.
Notification In the case of studio closures and the cancellation of classes, notice will be provided by email, on Kaleidoscope's website, as well as Kaleidoscope’s Facebook, and Instagram accounts.

Please check our communication channels to confirm class status, as we do not make individual phone calls for weather-related closures.
