Are you looking for a versatile space that can be used for your next rehearsal, workshop, meeting, or audition call? Located in the heart of Victoria’s Old Town, The Kaleidoscope Arts Centre has vibrant studios and a spacious conference room available for community rentals.

An amazing and accessible location in a fantastic historic setting, plenty of natural light, hardwood flooring, and affordable rates makes this facility a great asset for arts and community groups, as well as emerging and established artists.

Studio A

This studio features hardwood flooring, large windows with plenty of natural light, LED dimmable lighting, ceiling fans, air ventilation system, built in sound system, and a small theatrical lighting rig. It is outfitted with 20 folding chairs and 2 4ft tables, as well as a Roland F120 full sized digital piano with weighted keys. A great studio for rehearsals for smaller casts, auditions, classes, readings, and workshops.

Note: Studio A is located on the top floor of the Kaleidoscope Arts Centre and is not wheelchair accessible. The second floor is serviced by an Electric Chair Lift. There are 22 steps up to the second floor.

The adjacent lounge may be booked with your rental for an additional fee.

Additional staffing fees may apply if rentals of Studio A fall outside of regular Kaleidoscope Staff hours. 

Studio A Rentals

Studio B

Our ground floor accessible studio features laminate flooring, high ceilings, air ventilation system, LED dimmable lighting, and an exterior door for extra air flow.  It is equipped with 60 folding chairs and 2 4ft tables, as well as an Electric Keyboard. A great studio for rehearsals, auditions, classes and workshops. A full sized upright piano may be available with advance notice.

An accessible washroom is located directly outside the door to Studio B.

Studio B Rentals

Studio C

This small accessible studio features carpeted flooring, high ceilings, a large window, and LED lighting. It is outfitted with a Yamaha Upright Full Size Piano, music stands, and chairs. A great studio for self-tapes, vocal coaching, small music rehearsals, or intimate meetings.

Conference Room

The Kaleidoscope Conference room features a large board table that can comfortably seat 12 people with additional seating throughout the room. A large white board, cork board, and easel are provided for your use. Windows on the South and West sides provide plenty of natural light and fresh air. The Conference Room has dimmable LED Lighting and overhead ceiling fans.

Note: The conference room is located on the top floor of the Kaleidoscope Arts Centre and is not wheelchair accessible. The second floor is serviced by an Electric Chair Lift. There are 22 steps up to the second floor.

Yes, we do offer special discounted rates for non-profit organisations and other theatre and arts organisations. Registered non-profit organizations, theatre industry members (ie. CAEA, PACT, ProArt), and theatre and arts rentals have access to reduced rates. Theatre and arts rentals are defined by groups and individuals renting the space for rehearsals, auditions, readings, production meetings, and other non-commercial ventures. Events, workshops, classes, etc. that charge any kind of fee, admission or tuition are not eligible for the Theatre, Arts and Non-Profit rate. 

Commercial rates apply to all groups, organisations and individuals to whom the above categories do not apply. This includes any events, workshops, classes, etc. that charge any kind of fee, admission or tuition, even if the renter otherwise qualifies for the categories above.

Kaleidoscope Studio Access Program a sub-category of Theatre, Arts and Non-Profit rate which has access to a further reduced or fully subsidized rates. This program is by application only and has limited availability each year.

Please note that any rental that includes an audience component will require additional KTYP staffing to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone.
