Private Voice Lesson
Are Voice Classes for a term or a year?
Private Voice Classes run for a full School Year from September through June. When you book a Private Voice Lesson, you are booking a private lesson for the entire duration. We do not take bookings for monthly or one off lessons.
Do I have to pay in full or do you offer payment plans?
Kaleidoscope is pleased to offer flexible payment plan options for Voice Lesson students. Voice lesson tuition becomes payable at the time of registration and may be paid online by Visa or MasterCard. There are options ranging from 2 through 12 instalments. Payment dates are pre-determined and are non-negotiable. A 20% Deposit is required at the time of registration.
Are there Voice Lessons on Holidays?
Voice lessons do not run on Statutory Holidays, and prices are adjusted for students whose regular lessons would be affected.
What happens if there is another pandemic in the winter?
In the event that in-person instruction is not possible due to extreme weather, pandemic, government order, or other cause that is out of control of Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, a virtual class on an online platform may be offered to provide for a continuation of learning. In this event, all policies, including refund and cancellation still apply.
If I miss a class, do I still pay?
Yes. If a student misses a lesson due to illness, personal choice or other extracurricular or school activities, the instructor may, but is not required to, offer a make-up lesson. There are no refunds for missed classes. A maximum of 2 lessons per term may be offered as make-ups. Makeups are not guaranteed and subject to availability. The terms are September through December, and January through June. There is a dedicated make-up week at the end of each term.
My child is 10, can they register for a 45 or 60 minute lesson?
45 and 60 minute lessons are reserved for students age 12 years of age and older. Students younger than 12 years of age are restricted to a maximum 30 minutes of private instruction time in a single day. No exceptions.
If I am sick, can I "gift" my class to another student?
Individual class times can only be used by the student registered for that class time and cannot be switched, transferred, or used by another student. Class times are not transferable to other students unless pre-arranged in advance with the instructor and approved by the school director in writing. If a student does not attend their scheduled class due to illness, personal choice, or other extracurricular or school activity, their unused lesson time may be extended to other students for makeup lessons only at the discretion of the instructor. Reserved lesson times not used by the student registered for that class time cannot be shared or claimed by other students without prior written approval from the instructor. Standard Make-up Policies apply.
Can I cancel or withdraw from Voice Lessons?
If you cancel your voice class registration after it has been processed but at least two weeks before the class begins, Kaleidoscope will refund the cost of tuition less a processing fee of $50.00 and any other fees associated with the course above the base course fee.
Cancellation and withdrawals of Private Voice lessons requires a one month paid notice (4 lessons). Requests to withdraw must be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Should a full program be cancelled by Kaleidoscope for any reason, a full refund, minus the pro-rated value of any class already passed, will be issued. Refunds past the date mentioned above will only be considered due to serious illness or injury and will be subject to the provision of a doctor’s letter.
There are no available lesson time that work for my schedule.
We’re sorry, but only the posted lesson times are available for registration for 2020-2021. Due to the increased demand for private voice lessons, we have added a second instructor to the Kaleidoscope family. Please be sure to check both instructor’s availability. During the initial week of registration, there may be brief moments where it appears that classes are sold out, if this happens, please contact us immediately as there may be a glitch with the online scheduler.
The prices above reflect the base price for a full year of 33 sessions. Pricing will be adjusted for classes affected by Statutory Holiday closures.
