The Little Prince
Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People is proud to present a new bilingual adaptation of The Little Prince, presenting at the McPherson Playhouse March 11th and 12th with two student showings on March 10th 2017. Joining the cast and crew of The Little Prince is two-time Prairie Music Award recipient and Canadian folk music icon, Oliver Swain!
Kaleidoscope is excited to partner with Oliver on their newest production of The Little Prince. Oliver is set to compose and perform live, giving the already beloved classic tale, added splendour. Joining Oliver in the show are Trevor Hinton as the Pilot and Madeleine Humeny as the Little Prince.
Oliver Swain has had a distinguished music career with three critically acclaimed albums, “The Road to Canso” and “Southbound” as well as his solo debut album “In a Big Machine.” Oliver has also toured alongside Juno winner Toni Childs throughout North America and Europe. He currently teaches music at the Victoria Conservatory of Music as well as works as Artistic Director for the South Island Folk Fest.
The Little Prince will be presented bilingually with a combination of puppetry and live action.
