11. Advanced Teen Company: Ages 13-18
Duration 28 Weeks
Classes Days Wednesday
Step up and dare to take the risk. The Senior Performance Company enables senior students to become a collaborative theatrical collective, as they develop and mount their own performances between September and June. Students will explore and compare different styles of acting (including Classical, Shakespearean, and modern) that incorporate heightened language, physical elements, and circumstances experienced in everyday life. This course will focus on preparation of text for auditions and performance and an emphasis on acting as an ensemble. Original play creation, theatrical production, performance, and ensemble work make up the core of this program. This year long program is for those students who share a passion for pursuing a career in the performing arts. Students will delve into the challenges that actors and producers face daily as they continue to expand their skills for a career in the arts. This program will include outside performances and rehearsals.
Students are expected to miss no more than two prearranged rehearsals or classes all year.
Out of class homework and rehearsals are expected.
Senior Company will include out-of-class performance opportunities.
Admission to this program is by Audition, Invitation, or Interview Only. Previous participation in the program is not a guarantee of acceptance.
